In case you were wondering...and it's ok if you weren't, I didn't disappear off the face of the planet. Took a leave of absence-kind of. Even though I wasn't here, I was elsewhere keeping busier than ever.

Vacation here we come.
I am writing this entry in hopes that at least one human will read it. Even after a lot of advertising, The Waffle Raffle has no followers, no fans...nada. But we won't let that get us down.
Once we get back from our weekend holiday, I'll start in again promoting the blog. So, I want to edit what I said when I was going to be bringing the laptop with me. I'm sure it won't be booming while we are gone for 2.5 days.

Everyone is sick on Dr. Seuss' Birthday
First of all, Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss! I loved your books growing up.
Second of all, things almost always happen this way: one of our kids get sick...then the second, third...and then finally the fourth. Meanwhile, Charles and I usually are in denial with the fact that we couldn't possibly get sick lol. Of course it always happens; sometimes I get whatever it is first and I lovingly share it with Charles. And other times, he passes it on to me.
This time I was still sick with a cold and tonsillitis when I got the flu along with everyone else. So right now I am miserable and I'm sure my family is, too. I just hope we are all better before this weekend. We are going out of town for the weekend since we haven't been out since last June! Needless to say, we are looking forward to a little time away. And not because we don't love being parent...we just need some us time.
I will be bringing the trusty laptop with me, though...so fear not we'll still be here for ya! That is, if anyone decides they'd like to follow us (*cries in the corner*) I'm kinda sad that no one has wanted to get to know The Waffle Raffle yet. Are we not cool enough for you? After all, you have the power to decided what we do for you. Just thought I'd remind you of that.
Going to hydrate myself and pray that doesn't come up like it did all last night.

I have a confession to make...
I am not proud of myself. I am actually ashamed. Please don't hate me, but I had pancakes early this morning. I know...I can hear your gasps now. It's not that I didn't want waffles. It was more of a convenience thing because Charles ordered a Country Sausage Scrambler from Perkins and it came with pancakes on the side and he didn't want them.
I will never pass up breakfast food. That could quite possibly be a crime. Well, it is here anyway.

3 hours of sleep but blog is finished!
I have been up for quite some time, but I am finally deciding to post an entry. Even though I didn't get any sleep, it was worth it because I finished and launched The Waffle Raffle.
Except I'm a little disappointed in the "launch" we've barely reached 60 hits! I thought for sure we would be booming! You guys have to remember that we need you...we need sibscribers and fans and followers in order to get you those fabulous prizes that I know you will want to win.
It hasn't even been 24 hours so I guess I should chill. Forgive me. It's just if I came across a site or blog like The Waffle Raffle, I would totatlly purchased 20 tickets because for $5-that's a freaking steal.
Please give us your support, feedback and we can't give away prizes to anyone if there isn't anyone playing. Common sense, I guess, but I just thought I would say it out loud.
I think we are due for a poll...our first poll in fact, to get people stimulated and warmed up. (you have a sick mind)

Jessica, the owner/creator/etc. was thinking like she always does about making a legitimate living with a new business. She was sick and tired of all the bs, and she was literally thinking of yummy waffles one second and then the next she thought of the word raffle and The Waffle Raffle was born.
